About Paul Mannion

Paul T. Mannion’s business focuses are varied. In addition to having a stellar banking career that spans three decades, Paul is a keen observer of up-and-coming talent and new ventures. He serves on the boards of several early-stage companies, using his network and aiding new CEOs as they navigate the waters toward development and profitability. As a real estate investor, Paul is able to combine his comprehensive due diligence with an innate ability to generate enthusiasm for any project. 

Paul graduated from the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting. He pursued post-graduate studies at the New York University Stern School of Business and the Georgia State University School of Law.

Paul began his career in the financial sector on Wall Street. After working with Paine Webber, he gained further trading and investment banking experience at Oppenheimer & Co. Paul then moved to Atlanta to work with Josephthal Lyon and Ross as a Branch Manager. He quickly ascended through the ranks to become a Senior Vice President at JW Charles Securities’ Investment Banking Division, where he helped close more than $200 million in transactions.

When Wachovia acquired JW Charles, Paul T. Mannion became President of Union Atlantic Capital. When the company was merged with Street Capital, Paul supervised the Investment Banking Division. During his career, Paul was engaged in the origination, planning, and financing of about 60 projects of varying sizes, totaling over $500 million in finished agreements.

Paul has earned a reputation for successfully conducting mergers and acquisitions throughout his long standing career. Paul worked at the brokerage firm that assisted the sale of Speedcom Wireless to Atlanta’s LTI Holdings for more than $100 million. As a Consultant for Cure Pharmaceutical, he helped guide the firm as it went public. Paul’s achievements are not solely due to his financial knowledge but also his diplomacy skills when handling any situation. Paul is known for his ability to align his consulting strategies with corporate clients’ short- and long-term goals to all company members clearly and effectively. As a mentor, Paul often takes young professionals under his wing to show them the ropes, helping them learn from his previous challenges in the business world.
